Region: Copán region of Western Honduras

COCAFCAL members now hold several certifications, including Organic, Fairtrade, Utz, Smithsonian Bird Friendly and Rainforest Alliance. The premiums received from these certifications have enabled the cooperative to contribute to a number of community development projects, such as a new soccer field for youth in the community, improved wood-burning stoves, support of the local health clinic and school, community trash recipients and a new library.

J&M Family manages four of their own coffee farms, ranging in size between 11-28mz, and they work with an additional 220 small and medium sized farmers throughout the region, providing them with financing, technical assistance and certification support.

The Association of Coffee Producers Juan Marco El Palto (APC JUMARP) is an association of small producers in the high-altitude rainforests of northern Peru. Founded in 2003, the association specializes in the production of specialty and organic coffee, in the hopes of improving the economic situation of their 300 members and families.
